While many attorneys focus on a specific area of the law, Luis has gained valuable experience in several. From breach of contract claims to cross-border sales disputes to bankruptcy litigation, if it requires a lawyer, the odds are Luis can handle it. This broad experience has served Luis’ clients well. As he learns more about the specific issues they’re facing, not only is he able to help find common-sense solutions to their business problems, but he often finds other areas where he can help them as well. It’s what he likes most about his job. “We’re not as big as some firms, so there’s a tendency to underestimate the size of the cases we’re able to take on,” he says. “But once people experience what we can do and the level of service we can offer, it’s kind of a no-brainer.”

When not in the courtroom, Luis is still using the skills he’s learned over the years to help those around him. Immigration and issues affecting the Hispanic community are important to him, and in the past, he’s represented victims of human trafficking, as well as potential deportees applying for asylum inside the United States. When he finally lets himself take a break, Luis coaches his children’s soccer teams and enjoys the occasional good book.
